Keep it cool and dry

Heat is the enemy of e-liquid. It thins the liquid (causing leaks and gurgling) and can degrade both flavour and battery. Store your device somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight — a drawer or cupboard is ideal.

Store it upright

Keeping the device upright with the mouthpiece up helps the e-liquid sit correctly around the coil and reduces the chance of leaking into the airflow. If it has a cap, keep it on to stop dust and lint blocking the mouthpiece.

Storing while travelling

• Carry it in a bag pocket away from keys and coins (to protect the port).
• Keep it out of checked luggage — batteries belong in carry-on.
• Avoid leaving it in a hot glovebox or beach bag.

Always check the current rules of your airline and destination before flying with any vape.

Long-term storage

If you are saving a device for later, store it cool and upright, and give the battery a short top-up every so often so it does not sit completely flat for months. Check the flavour before heavy use — very old liquid can taste muted.
