Vape Not Hitting? 7 Fixes for a Disposable That Stopped Working
A disposable that suddenly stops hitting is frustrating — but it is often an easy fix, not a dead device. Work through these seven checks from most to least common before writing it off.
1. Charge it
The most common cause is simply a flat battery. If vapour is weak or the device feels unresponsive, plug in the USB-C cable for a few minutes and try again. See our charging guide for the safe way to do it.
2. Check the airflow
Cover any airflow vents by accident and the draw feels blocked. Make sure your fingers or lips are not sealing the air intake at the base, and that no sticker or wrapper is still covering it.
3. Try a slower, softer draw
Many devices are draw-activated with a sensitive sensor. Very hard, sharp puffs can under-trigger it. Try a slow, steady 2-second draw — this often restores a clean hit.
4. Clear condensation
E-liquid or condensation can pool in the mouthpiece, especially after time in a warm pocket. Gently tap the device (mouthpiece down) onto a tissue a few times to clear it, then wipe the mouthpiece.
5. Warm it up (or cool it down)
Cold thickens e-liquid so it wicks slowly, and heat can cause leaking. If the device has been in a cold car or bag, hold it in your hand for a few minutes to bring it to room temperature before vaping.
6. Check if it is simply empty
If vapour is thin and the flavour tastes faint or burnt even after charging, the e-liquid is likely gone. That is normal end-of-life, not a defect — time for a fresh device.
7. When it really is faulty
If none of the above helps and the device is clearly not near empty, it may be a genuine fault. Do not attempt to open or repair it. Contact us via the contact page with your order details and we will help.
